A selection of my original paintings is currently on view at Sweetfields' Cafe & Bakery in Sutton Coldfield. What began as an opportunity to show my work has become something much more personal. Sweetfields has supported my practice not only by giving the paintings a place to be seen, but also through encouragement, conversation and practical help while the work was being made and prepared. It is also somewhere I simply enjoy spending time and returning to. The connection between art, people and everyday life there feels natural, and being part of that local creative community has become an important part of this stage of my work. In May 2026, the exhibition and Sweetfields' wider support for local artists were featured by bham.pl in an article about the creative community in Sutton Coldfield.
